The CDL Precision Pressure Regulator is an essential accessory for anyone using large-format N2O cream charger cylinders. It controls the flow of pressurised nitrous oxide from 640g, 666g, 580g, and 2000g cylinders into your cream dispenser, allowing you to set and maintain the exact pressure needed for consistent results. The regulator features a clearly marked pressure gauge that displays the current output pressure in bar. For standard whipped cream, set the gauge to approximately 6–8 bar. For lighter foams and espumas, a lower setting around 4–5 bar gives a more delicate texture. This level of precision is one of the main advantages of large-format cylinders over 8g cartridges, which deliver their entire charge at once with no adjustment possible. Installation is straightforward. Thread the regulator onto the cylinder’s valve — the connection uses the standard thread compatible with all cylinders in our range (FlavourWhip 640g, Cream Deluxe 666g, Cream Deluxe Gold 640g, Smartwhip Silver 580g, and Cream Deluxe Maxxi 2000g). Connect your cream dispenser to the regulator’s output port via the included hose fitting. Open the cylinder valve slowly, adjust the pressure to your desired setting, and charge the dispenser. Close the valve between uses to preserve gas. All materials are food-safe, designed for contact with food-grade gases. The regulator body is constructed for long-term commercial use and can be transferred between cylinders as you replace them — it is a one-time purchase that serves through many cylinders. Practical tips: always open the cylinder valve slowly to avoid pressure spikes. After each session, close the cylinder valve and release residual pressure from the regulator before disconnecting. Store the regulator in a clean, dry place when not in use. If you are new to large-format cylinders and upgrading from 8g cartridges, the regulator is the one additional piece of equipment you need. Your existing cream dispenser connects to the regulator just as it would accept an 8g cartridge — the regulator acts as the intermediary between the larger cylinder and your dispenser.
